Richard Louv says it best in his acclaimed book, Last Child In the Woods: ”It's a good thing to learn more about nature in order to share this knowledge with children; it's even better if the adult and child learn about nature together. And it's a lot more fun."

The Cincinnati Nature Center’s new Marge & Charles Schott Nature Playscape hopes to encourage just this kind of learning. At a symbolic “vine-cutting” ceremony last month, the Milford-based Cincinnati Nature Center (CNC) announced its hope that this nature playground be a regional role model for health child development and demonstrates how effectively the outdoors strengthens a child’s mind, body and spirit.
